Director of Public Programs
Karen Boardman is the Director of Public Programs at Dale Carnegie Training in the North Central States. Dale Carnegie Training is represented in all 50 of the United States and more than 80 nations worldwide.

In her role, Karen focuses on providing stellar Dale Carnegie Training programs to the general public, as well as coordinating programs for companies in and around Rochester, Minn., and Austin, Minn. She is driven to provide training and consulting services that match the precise needs of her clients. She takes particular delight in seeing clients successfully learn and apply the principles of Dale Carnegie Training in their professional and personal lives.
During her time with Dale Carnegie Training, Karen has previously held several roles, including director of operations and controller. Her passion for working with people led to her current position.
Karen, who graduated cum laude from the University of Wisconsin-Stout with a degree in human relations and family studies, previously served as a senior unit counselor in the Children’s Residential Treatment Center of Volunteers of America. Immediately prior to Dale Carnegie Training, she worked as the operations manager for an integrated medical systems office.
Originally a native of the Twin Cities, Karen now resides in Northfield, Minn., with her husband Steve and their three active sons. She is passionate about personal and professional growth in business and in her community. She is active in school and sports with her sons, loves music, the arts, traveling and collecting wine, and is especially fond of watching the television game show “Wipeout” with her kids.
