Mike Scott is the general manager and executive vice president of Dale Carnegie Training in the North Central States. Dale Carnegie Training is represented in all 50 of the United States and more than 80 nations worldwide.

Besides training an astounding 1,000 people per year with Dale Carnegie Training, Mike addresses a variety of mission-critical leadership and development needs for the firm’s Fortune 500 clients. At the enterprise level, his areas of expertise include workplace collaboration, leadership without authority and in cross-functional/matrix organizations, HR/business alignment, organizational redesign and change readiness. At the individual level, Mike is adept at training needs analysis, talent management, leadership presence training, employee engagement, executive coaching, and presentation skills development.
Dale Carnegie Training clients regularly note Mike’s collaborative abilities on best practices, his ability to quickly gain buy-in from all stakeholders, his attention to detail and organization, creative solutions and business-partnering skills.
Mike's hard work at Dale Carnegie Training led him to win the National Sales Award twice and the Top 5 Sales Manager Award. Additionally, he has ranked among the top 35 Dale Carnegie Training trainers in North America. As a member of the Dale Carnegie executive team, Mike and his colleagues have earned the Board of Directors' Award from Dale Carnegie Training four times. He is certified as a master trainer.
Prior to joining Dale Carnegie Training, Mike attended Boston College and after graduation worked at Scholastic as a trainer before being promoted to senior territory manager. He also taught emotionally and behaviorally challenged youth in Boston.
Voted most likely to be found on the office trend mill, Mike volunteers at Upper Room Church and leads freshman orientation at Cristo Rey Jesuit High School in Minneapolis. Making sure to surround himself with his faith, family and food, Mike enjoys cooking, running and craft beer but his true passion is for international traveling.
